LA w/ Cluster of Staff Boys

Half-day off after having our goodbye party for Ede (our year-long-German-glorified-volunteer/kinda-intern-with-COS at Saddleback), we decided to head up to LA for the day just to hang and relax before Ede goes back to Germany on Saturday. So basically I'm filling in space right here because we didn't do much besides go to a bunch of sneaker stores on Melrose and Fairfax (and lost the Keymaster 3 times) then we went to Griffith Observatory to take photos in our sick outfits. Having gotten to know Ede for the past month or two, we began to really click and quickly became close friends. From clothes/fashion, music and worship, we both enjoyed a lot of the same things. So as a goodbye gift, I got him a classic pair of Vans Authentics and my favorite pair of mnml stretch jeans in splatter. You can't let someone leave California after living there for a year without a pair of Vans! So we decided to go up and take some photos for fun

I finally broke out my mnml denim trucker jacket for the photos and I'm actually stoked about how it fits. At first when I ordered it, I was a little skeptical about the fit because I'm normally an XL but I ordered a Large because I heard it fit oversize. When I first tried it on I wasn't super stoked about the fit because it was pretty cropped but it was still a little loose for my taste, but now that I look at it in pictures I actually really like it a lot!

My t-shirt is from a brand called EPTM, it isn't the best quality but I think it's great for the price! It's a nice heather grey. Pro-tip, when wearing shirts that are prone to showing sweat/water, I highly recommend getting a cheap off-brand dri-fit t-shirt to wear under it. Mine is from uniqlo and it was $9

My jeans are my favorite tried and true mnml m1 stretch denim in black, they're $64 and my favorite jeans that I own. If you've followed my blog you know that I have a few pairs of these in different colors/washes and rotate throughout the week. They are extremely comfy and easy to wear

The shoes I wore were some that took forever to find and when I finally found them I was so stoked to find them, in my size, and under retail so I had to pick them up. They are the Y-3 Pureboost in Crystal White. If you own a pair of Ultraboosts/NMDs, you'll know that Boost is extremely comfortable, and even though these sneakers are really comfortable, I'd still put the Ultraboost above them in comfort.

Honestly not gonna write much else so here are the photos??

The leg dab, where Ede accompanies it by saying "Fab on dem haterz"

Jordan, another one of our COS interns from Georgia. He's super southern, sometimes super extra, loves Chick-Fil-A (he always orders a 12 count nugget meal with large fries and a large cherry coke) and he makes this stupid joke where if you say a word that ends in 'er' he'll say it and go "I hardly know her!". It's dumb

I think this might be the only photo of me and Jordan in existence

To Ede,

I remember exactly when and where when we first met. You were sitting at Taff's table in the living room when it was still up against the wall with your feet up on the chair, wearing your Democrat Vans that you had no idea meant what they meant you just liked them because you looked cool. I had no idea how close we'd get from that moment. It sucks that we never got to know each other until I was home from college but in the time we had, I'm so thankful for your friendship and for who you are as a person. Your heart for students and worship is so incredible and so inspiring. From random days just hanging or trying to fix Prime everyday to going up to LA and shopping and all your funny stupid dumb mannerisms that make us laugh without fail, I'm so glad I got to know you better. I hate goodbyes, and honestly I'm getting pretty emotional writing this. But I know you'll be back; God has so much more planned for you, whether it be here or in Germany. Either way, I know you'll be doing what you do best: leading others to the throne of Jesus because you genuinely care for them. We will miss you very much

Exodus 14:14 - "The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still"

My fellow shopaholic, my favorite German, my best friend, I love you very much

Until next time,

Andrew
