Yes, its that time of year and yes, this is that kind of post. Insert see you next year jokes and 2016 was full of ups and downs yada yada yada.
I hate clichés, but yeah this was one heck of a year.
Graduation, college, family stuff, and incredible friends helped make this a year to remember. On the drive back from our recent trip out to Joshua Tree National Park and Anza-Borrego State Park, I couldn't help but smile and think about how incredibly blessed I am by the friends that God has graciously given me. To the guys that always bring out the rowdy side of me (c'mon son) and the gals that try to keep us level-headed (sorry), I know that any one of my friends cares deeply for me. There's no way in heck I'd be pursuing my call without the support of you guys. Sometimes I forget how lucky I am to have a group that's willing to sing worship songs at the top of our lungs under the stars around a campfire and that this isn't a normal group. I'm so so so incredibly thankful for my friends, I wouldn't be where I am without them. For those of you who follow my blog, you know that I struggle a lot with feeling at home in my own home, and my friends have been able to give me a sense of home while I went through it all.
You aren't just my friends, you guys are family. I'm not sure what I did to deserve such an amazing group, but I'm just so incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to just do life together. You've shown me the love I needed to see in this season, and I hope we continue to go through life together in many more seasons. So here's to 2016 and here's to you, because I know I'll hold both very near to my heart.
And here are some photos from our trip! (Potential New Year's Resolution: Be in more pictures 1) so people don't post dance photos of me for my birthday and 2) because I love my friends)
